I have the bestest Sister Ever!

I am so thankful for my sister. She is there for me when I need her during difficult times, well all the time really. She is coming with me to the Grief Support Group for the first time because I don't want to go by myself. Thank you sista! I LOVE YOU!

Sick Day

I have been fighting some kind of virus the past couple days. So after feeling horrible all day at work yesterday, I took today off to rest at home.

I have wonderful friends that are so encouraging.

I have decided to join a grief support group. This is a huge scary step for me. Even though I don't want to do it, I know I need to. I need to find some peace... and do what this quote says....be patient, try to love the questions and live the questions.

New Moon

I never knew I could read so fast. A co-worker of mine gave me the book yesterday. I went home from work, cracked open a bottle of wine and read. I am on pg. 461 out of 560 pages. These books are amazing!

Dear God, you have instructed me not to be anxious, worrisome, overly concerned for anything...but instead to bring everything to you in prayer and thanksgiving. If I do this, you have promised me that your peace, which passes all understanding, shall keep my heart and mind through Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6-7). I come to you now for myself and on behalf of my brothers and sisters in Christ, and for those who suffer so much due to anxiety and depression. I pray that you will fill us with your peace; that you will touch our minds and remind us that we do not need to worry. You are our God and maker. You will handle it for us. Worrying does no good. May we lean into you, talk with you, spend time in your Word and before the throne of grace. May we fellowship with other Christians, those who will encourage us, even more so as the day approaches. Book 1 Done

I finished Twilight last night. I can't wait to go out on my lunch break to Target to buy book 2! Hooray for the Twilight series (Seriously never thought those words would come out of my mouth!)

Today is a NO bangs day.

This weekend I sat at in a cold ice arena and traveled to a world that I wasn't so sure about before, but now I am hooked. I have never been one for vampires or anything scary, so when I heard this book was about vampires I definitely had no interest. But this weekend I had plenty of down time in the ice arena before Luke's team played so I traveled into the world of "Twilight" to see what all the hype is about. I am half way through the book right now and can't read fast enough!

After reading every page I realized how freakin' excited I am for that wedding in August. It is going to be SO MUCH fun! YEA!!!!!!!!

We were in bed early last night because Luke got up at 4:30am this morning to be at his hockey tournament for a 6:30am game that they won. So today we have 2 games and tomorrow 2 games. I am hoping they keep their winning streak alive! So today I am going to finish my cup of coffee, see my friend "Jillian" for about 20 minutes :), and then put on my long underwear and head to the rink for the rest of the day with a good book in hand. I am sure you guys will just be on pins and needles to hear how Luke's team does, so I will be sure to update you! ;)

I really have to do this today. I hate this part, your house always feels so empty afterwards. Anyone want to help!? :)

Finally Friday

This week hasn't been too busy at work, which I am not complaining because I see the storm brewing for the end of January and into the spring.

This weekend will be filled with some R&R. I can't wait!

Tonight's agenda: cooking surf and turf, Lobster Tail and Steak. Popping open a bottle of wine and relaxing.

Tomorrow: Snowmobiling possibly and then Luke has a hockey game and then dinner with a friend.

Sunday: Church and then more relaxing.

Ahh, the weekend.

Congrats Wayzata Squirt A!!!!!

We spent our New Year's weekend in North St. Paul at the Polar Ice Arena where Luke's hockey team took 1st place!!!!!

It was so much fun to watch all the kids play some amazing hockey and win the championship.
