3rd Trimester

To write the heading to this blog is such a blessing! It is crazy to have the end in sight. My doctor appts. are every 2 weeks now!

I had my 28 week appt. last Friday and had to take the Glucose test. I drank a large glass of what tasted like orange pop from McDonalds but had 50 grams of sugar in it! NASTY! After about 3 sips I was ready to be done, but had to drink it within 5 minutes. After that I waited for an hour to have my blood drawn. Everything came back just fine.

We had a great weekend and were able to spend time with Sari and Ryan which was wonderful! The attempt to see the Flugtag at Harriet Island was there, but it just didn't happen, so we headed to Preston's for some lunch and then back to Ryan and Sari's to hang out.

Luke and I ended up going to Babies R Us on Saturday and registering. It was a lot of fun and something we really enjoyed doing together. I had to go to the bathroom about 20 times while we were there, so Luke controlled the gun....it will be interesting to see what he put on the registry that I don't know about! :) Our next adventure is to register at Target and pick out paint. I am hoping that happens this next weekend. A week from this Saturday we are at the 1 week point until my sisters wedding. I can't wait to have some time away from work and just hang out with friends and family. It will be busy, but very fun.

A Pregnant Girl Can Still Party!

This past Saturday I had a night out on the town for my sister's Bachelorette. We started out the night at my parents house and I did a personal shower for Sari. We then went to the Hennepin Theatre Stages and saw "Bye Bye Liver" which was super funny. Then we went to a couple swanky bars downtown. I promised to be the DD so I was up until after bar close!!! Yes, the pregnant girl can still party!!! Ok, well I was ready for bed at about 11PM and enjoyed the party scene from a sitting position all night. :) It was great to see my sister have a fabulous time for her bachelorette!Less than 3 weeks until the wedding! I can't wait! :)

Finally a start!

Sunday Luke and I came home from the cabin early and started on the nursery. Well we accomplished painting the glider white and moving all the furniture from the front bedroom (nursery to be) in storage or finding new homes for it in different parts of the house. We stored the day bed and put up our old Queen bed in the downstairs bedroom/office. Anyone getting rid of their Queen mattress? ;)

I realized as I was moving stuff how already our priorities are starting to change. Things of ours that we keep out or don't have to put away we now are finding homes for to make room for baby. It was an exciting realization.

Next step is picking out paint! So we have the Bachelor / Bachelorette parties this weekend, then up to the Lake and then home for a couple weekends. I am hoping somewhere before the wedding we can at least get paint colors picked out.

So we have a start and it feels great!

4th of July Weekend & 25 Weeks Pregnant!
