Today I am embarking on an adventure that I have not done in quite some time. I think the last time I did this was when I got married......yes, today I will venture into a tanning bed.
I will lay there and let those horrible UV rays make me tan, but create wrinkles. I am not to keen on tanning, but I am in a wedding on June 7th and I am wearing a red dress and I don't want to be the only pasty one up there! So today at lunch I will head on over and tan.......oh to be tan, what a beautiful thing!

Lunch today = chips and guac from Chipotle........mmmmmmmmm.....my favorite :)
I had a good weekend. We had fun on Friday night as we saw a movie and then Saturday I had a massage, went to Rebecca's shower, cleaned my house, took a nap and went out to dinner w/ the Martins. Then we did the "Albertville Crawl." It is a very exciting crawl and The Full Moon will always surprise you with the excitement and people there.

See you when the snow flies
I pulled in the garage on Tuesday and couldn't believe my eyes when Luke's car was already there. It is not usual that he gets home before me. Then I started looking for him. All of a sudden as I was walking downstairs he was heading out the door..."I am going to the club to hit balls, see you later!" Here it starts....the weather turns nice and my husband lives at the golf course.
He not only just went on a golfing weekend and golfed 4 rounds, but he is golfed on Wednesday night and I am sure if it wasn't poring rain outside that he would be on the course.
I am looking forward to this weekend. Not a whole lot going on, Luke and I will probably go and see a movie tonight.

MY WAY!
This weekend was wonderful. I did everything I wanted to do!
Friday night was scrapbooking w/ the neighbors.....I actually accomplished 2 pages this time! Yea for Ali!
Saturday morning I slept in until about Noon. I can't remember the last time I have done that. Luke hates when I sleep in. He likes to get up, get dressed and get the day started. I could be in my PJ's all day if I wanted to. I had coffee with Jessie and then headed to Maple Grove with my mom, Debbie and Rebecca. We had dinner at Houlihan's and then saw 27 Dresses. The movie was super cute, but kind of reminded me of How to loose a guy in 10 days.
Sunday I didn't go to church because it was the kids musical and I didn't want to sit through that. So I slept in yet again, not till noon though. Got up...drank my coffee.....sat outside with the dogs.....worked in the garden....swept out the garage....took the dogs for a walk....raked the yard...did laundry....cleaned my house...mopped the floors.....vacuumed.......Oh I did it all :)
Needless to say Sunday was exhausting, but it is so nice to come home to a clean house.

Baby Joli
Yesterday afternoon I got off work at around 2:30pm and headed to Maple Grove. I was able to spend the afternoon and evening with very dear friends and their little baby girl Jolianna (Joli for short!)
Joli and I had a great time together.......she is such a cute little baby. I think she looks just like her mommy. It was great to see my friends and to actually get to spend time with them. We reminisced about the good ol' days in High school and never leaving my parents house.
It was a great day and I was thankful to be able to spend time with my friends and Joli baby. SO CUTE! I should have a picture soon of the 2 of us from Natalie, when I do I will post it.
Tonight I have my girls night w/ the neighbors.......we will be scrap booking, eating dips and drinking wine! I can't wait.......it is always SO much fun.

I AM SURE YOURS ARE REAL
I was minding my own business yesterday, walking down the large flight of steps to my car after work and as I was walking down the steps this girl kept turning around and looking at me. I started to get a little weirded out, when all of a sudden she said, "I really like your shirt!", I replied, "Target Boutique!", this girl then went on to say how she had a shirt like it, but it was pink from Marshalls. We chatted about that for a second when all of a sudden she gesture to her chest and says, "But I am sure yours are real! Have a good night." And she walked away.
WHAT IN THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had to replay the conversation I had with her over in my mind a couple times, I am convinced I heard exactly what she said. Why in the heck was she making a comment about the girls! It's not even like they are that big or anything!
So that is my weird story from yesterday.......

WHAT THE (@*#$&
OK....I am PISSED OFF! It is snowing again and REALLY DEPRESSING!!!!!!

Is anyone else sick of this crap? I know it cannot be just me.
So now on to a different note, I have found a strange obsession. Lately I find myself pulling out my binoculars to look at the birds that are out in the wetlands and in the trees. I like the challenge of then pulling out my handy bird book to figure out what kind of birds they are.
Oh, my dad would be so proud. I actually think I would enjoy bird watching.........crazy I know....but there is something actually kinda fun in the challenge of seeing a bird and then figuring out if it is male or female and what kind! Ok, so I guess this gives you a right to call me a dork, but at least I am having fun, right? There is just something about me that loves nature and how these animals interact in our @#$)(* up world.

A Friend
A Friend is a great invention that God gave us.
Who would have thought that a Friend could be there for you during a difficult time. Or a friend could be so far away, but so close to your heart.
I am thankful today for my friends!
As the 13th approaches I have more and more feelings about life and what I have gone through in the last year. One thing is for sure........difficult times in your life really make you examine yourself and your life. I don't think I have ever looked at life or would have looked at life the way I do now, if I wouldn't have experienced what I did this week last April.
Today I think about last Tuesday a year ago as I went to the doctor for my ultrasound. I was horrified with the news and just wanted everything to end as fast as it could. Today I sit behind my desk working and chatting to my friend in Africa online.
I am looking at life through a new set of lenses..........thank you God for your strength!

"ROLLERCOASTER of LOVE"
Anyone remember that song, "Rollercoaster of love, rollercoaster, oooh ooh ooh,...Your love is like, a rollercoaster baby baby, I want to ride."
I have realized that love is a rollercoaster, at least in marriage. You have good weeks, bad weeks, good days, bad days, good months, bad months. There are days that I can't wait to get home and be with my husband and days that I don't want to be around him at all. I know, it sounds harsh. But love is give and take, learn and well, keep learning. That is what I am doing, just trying to stay on the rollercoaster of love!
