You are never going to believe what happened to me this morning......Ok, well maybe Sari and Luke can believe it. But I couldn't.

Last night I pulled in my driveway and noticed I had a quarter tank of gas left. I didn't think anything of it as I live less than 2 miles from the gas station. So this morning I got in the car and started heading straight to the gas station. Well as I was pulling up by the Outlet Mall my car started slowing down...slower then slower then slower. I ended up pulling over on the side of the road just past the Outlet Mall. I didn't know what the heck to do. I figured I was probably just out of gas, but it was freezing this morning and all I could think about was that I was going to be stranded on the side of the road and have to walk my booty to the gas station...wa waaaaaa!

Thankfully an angel appeared! (ok, maybe not an angel literally!) But my neighbor Erica called me and came to my rescue. She had driven by just as I had put on my flashing lights.
Erica drove me to the gas station where I had to purchase a $6.00 gas can that fit 2 gallons of gas! (What a rip-off!) Then she drove me back to my car where I proceeded to try and take of the gas can top. Well ya know how they have the plastic tops w/ the little part that you push down so that the top can't unscrew easily.....well because it was so cold outside I couldn't get it to push down to turn the cap. So I am freaking out, having to use my keys and tear the damn thing! Finally I got it and started filling my car up.

So if it weren't for my wonderful neighbor I would have been stranded in the cold all by my lonesome trying to figure out what the heck to do!

Thanks ERICA!!! LOVE YA!!!!!!

Invisalign

If I had a scanner, I would post a picture for you of myself with braces. The reason, because today I started with Invisalign. Oh yes, here I go again, torturing myself with pain to make my teeth straight. After 4 years with braces, my ortho couldn't seem to get the pearly whites straight, or the lack of him providing a retainer could have helped the situation. Either way I am putting my mouth through excruciating pain again to straighten my teeth. My uncle took a before picture of my teeth and I am excited to see what the after result will be.

If I could write a book about life, I would write about marriage. I would write about how communication is so important between a husband and wife. Luke and I have truly had our fair share of hardships in the last couple of years. I am thankful that our relationship only seems to become stronger. The only reason I believe that our relationship has become stronger is because of our communication. It is hard to talk about when you feel sad, hurt, mad and angry....but if your spouse knows how you feel it is a lot easier for them to understand you and what you are going through. My words don't always come out spoken softly and in a nice tone....but it's better for them to come out rather than not. I don't appreciate going through the difficult times, but what can ya do, right? I am just thankful that I have an amazing husband who loves me and is there for me.

I could tell you now about each frustration that we have had since June 12, 2004, but why bother. I can't dwell on the past and the unfortunate things we have had to go through. All I can do is pray that life gets better and that Luke and I go to each other for strength, but most of all to God. We were at church on Saturday night before our night out with my parents....the message was on Romans chapter 3. Romans is a difficult book to understand, but it is amazing how we see over and over in the Bible God's faithfulness to us. He will not leave us or forsake us. I am reminded again and again that we have a truly loving God.

It is funny, because lately I have been missing Luke during the day while I am at work. I can't wait to get home and be with him, make dinner for him and just be together. I feel like we are at a place in our relationship that we haven't been in a long time. We are really enjoying each other and finding joy in our marriage. It's a wonderful feeling. Now this doesn't mean that life is perfect with my hubby, of course we still argue, but all in all there is an understanding lately that no matter what, life will be ok.

Ok, sorry for my strange rambling about marriage.......but that is just how I feel.

The picture above is from the weekend. We went with my parents, Sari and Ryan to Kinkaid's in St. Paul for dinner and then a limo picked us up and took us around St. Paul to look at Christmas lights. We had a wonderful time! Here are a few pics :)

We are told that God won't give us more than we can handle. Where is the box to check that I have had enough and I probably can't handle anything else?

Tag, You're it!

The task is to take the sixth folder on your comp and pull up the sixth pic and describe it. Then, tag four others.

This picture was taken June 2007 at Albertville Friendly Days. We had a blast that night, and everyone was friendly :)

I Tag: Natalie, Steph, Chris and Bethany

TGIF

You know how you come up with a list in your head of exactly what you would love for Christmas, but all of it put together is just WAY TOO expensive and you probably won't even get 1 item. Well here is that list for me.

1. Tall Uggs (Women's Classic Tall - Color Chocolate - Price $160
2. The Cricut - Price $299

OK, so my list is shorter than I thought. But I guess that is good right!? Then I am not being greedy? :)

Last night Sari came with me to Jazzercise. It was a lot of fun, and of course a great workout. We went home and Luke had made dinner so we ate and then looked at all the Jewelry that had come in from my party.

So everyone who bought, your orders are in. I will come around this weekend and drop stuff off.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Weekend Recap

I was at home sick on Tuesday. I woke up with a fever and felt just horrible. I slept the whole day and got out of bed only to eat dinner.

Yesterday I headed to my favorite place in Champlin, Lavish Salon. I got my hair done of course. There is nothing better than a new cut and color for the holidays.

We had a great long Thanksgiving Weekend. Here is the recap.

Thursday: Dinner at my parents, taking way too many pictures and laughing w/ my cousin Abby and Sari and I, the "things" game w/ all the cousins, very fun....Shopping from 10pm-1am at the Outlet Mall where we were practically trampled to death in Pac Sun....not getting to bed until about 3am.

Friday: I woke up and headed to work for 2 hours....went home and made cranberry sauce and took a nice long nap...headed to Luke's parents for Thanksgiving dinner...enjoyed a good meal and a couple hands of 31.

Saturday: Breakfast with my family at my house, I made killer egg bake...up to the cabin to read and cross-stitch (yes I am a grandma!)...Dinner at a hick restaurant where our family laughed hysterically the whole time....playing the game "things" with my family and friends of parents that stopped by....Luke and I getting beat to a pulp by Ryan and Sari at Cranium Cadoodle or whatever its called.

Sunday: Dad making breakfast...heading to Little Falls to pheasant hunt...hunting for 3 hours where I actually got some beebees in a bird....woo hoo!...Dinner at Pizza Ranch and then home to not be able to fall asleep at night!

Whew...so that is the recap of last weekend.

Not too much exciting this week. I am looking forward to the weekend, we don't have too many plans.....so it should be nice and relaxing. Ta Ta for now!
