where does the time go...

My little punkin will be 1.5 years old / 18 months on Saturday!!!! WHAT!?!? Somebody pinch me! How the heck did this go by SO fast!? It makes me sad that she is so old already, but she is so amazingly fun right now and I love watching her learn new words, new things she can do and seeing her explore everything around her. She is such a joy. I can't wait everyday to come home from work and get to spend time with my little punkin.

In this picture I was 24 weeks pregnant....I am now today 27 weeks pregnant! I can't believe how fast this pregnancy is going, though I feel at times it is not going fast enough.

I definitely have gained plenty of weight already and would like to be done with that, but I know I still have a ways to go. The hardest part of this pregnancy so far has been back pain and heart burn. Thankfully I have a dad that can help in the back department and I just got some medication from my doctor for the heart burn....so the next 12 weeks should be smooth sailing...right?! :)

It is truly strange to think about our family changing. I feel like we are in such a good routine and life is pretty easy with 1 and now we go on and are adding another!? Are we crazy!? I know it will be wonderful, but at times it does seem a little overwhelming. 2 kids and 2 dogs....here we come!

I am most excited to meet this little girl and see what she will look like. Oh and figure out her name. I knew 110% with Aubrie of her name, but this baby is totally different. Nothing I hear or think about I am completely sold on. We are throwing around about 5 different names right now, so it probably won't be until she actually arrives that we name her.

I just hope that I continue to feel well and can keep up with home and work life.

Until next time!

A Peaceful Night of Sleep

Hopefully I can get back into blogging, because I do enjoy it... :) (PS- Jess, thanks for the reminder you told my sis...I kind of forgot about my blog!)

I wish I could explain what the last 7 weeks have been like. I will start at the beginning.

Luke and felt in our hearts the desire to have another child. Also, my sister is my best friend, I want Aubrie to have a brother or sister to have that type of relationship with...it is different than any friendship.

So we decided to "try" again. Luke wanted to try right away and I went back and forth as to when I wanted to start "trying". And realized that I would rather start sooner than later just due to everything we faced up until Aubrie.

So....Positive pregnancy test at 5 weeks along! Luke was thrilled and I was excited too, but the nerves almost immediately kicked in for me. I have been faced with "Your baby has anencephaly" 2 times and, "there is no heart beat" one other time. Those nightmares played over in my mind too easily and unfortunately nightmares and almost daydreams started. I found myself the past 7 weeks in a very difficult place. Not knowing if this baby would be ok or not, was tearing me apart.

I really didn't expect to be that affected by the emotions of not knowing since we have a Beautiful, Healthy, Amazing little girl....but I think knowing what we can have and knowing it can be taken away so easily scared me.

Thankfully I have a loving husband to help me through and people that prayed for me. More than that a God who gave me comfort as I took one day at a time for 7 weeks!

I counted down the weeks, to the days, to the hours, to the minutes to find out if this baby was ok or not.

By the grace of God this baby has a perfect little brain and a strong heart beat! We couldn't be more excited for our family to grow....and so sometime around July 19th, there will be a little baby added to this family and I am so thrilled.

So last night for the first time in 7 weeks I finally feel like I got a peaceful and restful night of sleep.

God is Good!

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

I am sorry for my tardiness....

My blogging days have definitely slowed down...forgive me for my tardiness.....I am up and running again on Facebook...find me under Ali 'Gallagher' Peterson :)

Today I was feeling totally overwhelmed on my way home from work. Being a mom and working full time is hard. I am so exhausted from work and yet I have to come home to a house with chores to be done, dogs to take care of and a baby that I can't seem to get enough time with. I mean, she is almost not even a baby anymore!!! My baby is going to be 1year old this month! I can't even believe it.

I guess I just have to pray for strength and stability from God.....the help I need to get through each day!

Until next time!!

I know......Way too long

I have no time these days to blog......sorry to all my fans! ;)

Here is what you all really want to see.

Aubrie and I had a Mommy and Aubrie day together.....we had breakfast at our favorite place and then I got home to a dog that got into formula ALL over Aubrie's room....Needless to say my Aubrie and Mommy day was consumed by me trying to entertain Aubrie while I rented a carpet cleaner and cleaned the carpets in her room.

Things have been pretty crazy around the Peterson household lately.

First, my Grandma died I think the week after the 4th of July...I don't even know what dates it was anymore. It was so sad to say goodbye to my Grandma, but she lived a very long and happy life. I will never forget all the things she taught me...how to sew, how to bake and how to love your children., my Grandma's Boys were always her pride and joy and would light her up when they walked in the room.

We have spent a lot of weekends at the lake and some at home. Luke played in a golf tournament a couple weeks ago at Minnetonka Country Club, him and his partner finished 3rd and he had a great time. We took Thursday and Friday off this last week and went to the Como Zoo on Thursday for the first time. Aubrie LOVED the Giraffe's and Zebra's, we had a great time just the 3 of us. Friday we headed up to the lake and spent the afternoon out on the boat. A very relaxing and fun weekend.

Now it is back to work and regular life and looking forward to the next time I have a day off to spend w/ my little punkin :)

Way behind...

Father's Day weekend we spent up at BBL......we had a great time. Aubrie had fun w/ her Uncle Ryan, though it always seems like he puts her to sleep :)

It was great to spend time w/ the Fam!

Fun in the Sun

Finally, we were able to get outside with Aubrie and enjoy some sunshine, even though I kept her in the shade most of the time :)

New things Aubrie has experienced in the last couple of weeks:

- sitting in the grass, most the time she grabs at it and tries to put it in her mouth

-going in a swimming pool....I realized how protective I really am once we put her in a floaty in the pool. I stood over her the whole time and didn't want her to tip over :)

-meeting a horse and a cow for the first time, she LOVED the horses and kicked and flailed her arms and made noises at the horses. She like the cows too. The cow even sniffed her leg, it was so cute.

- Uncle Kurbis held Aubrie for a LONG time.....they bonded....it was so cute!

-Aubrie ate peaches for the first time and loved them. She is doing better all the time at baby food. Still not crazy about table food, but that is ok.

All in All, everyone in the Peterson household is doing good......Luke and I just hit the 7 year mark! Crazy how time goes by so fast.

Have a great week!
