Hopefully I can get back into blogging, because I do enjoy it... :) (PS- Jess, thanks for the reminder you told my sis...I kind of forgot about my blog!)
I wish I could explain what the last 7 weeks have been like. I will start at the beginning.
Luke and felt in our hearts the desire to have another child. Also, my sister is my best friend, I want Aubrie to have a brother or sister to have that type of relationship with...it is different than any friendship.
So we decided to "try" again. Luke wanted to try right away and I went back and forth as to when I wanted to start "trying". And realized that I would rather start sooner than later just due to everything we faced up until Aubrie.
So....Positive pregnancy test at 5 weeks along! Luke was thrilled and I was excited too, but the nerves almost immediately kicked in for me. I have been faced with "Your baby has anencephaly" 2 times and, "there is no heart beat" one other time. Those nightmares played over in my mind too easily and unfortunately nightmares and almost daydreams started. I found myself the past 7 weeks in a very difficult place. Not knowing if this baby would be ok or not, was tearing me apart.
I really didn't expect to be that affected by the emotions of not knowing since we have a Beautiful, Healthy, Amazing little girl....but I think knowing what we can have and knowing it can be taken away so easily scared me.
Thankfully I have a loving husband to help me through and people that prayed for me. More than that a God who gave me comfort as I took one day at a time for 7 weeks!
I counted down the weeks, to the days, to the hours, to the minutes to find out if this baby was ok or not.
By the grace of God this baby has a perfect little brain and a strong heart beat! We couldn't be more excited for our family to grow....and so sometime around July 19th, there will be a little baby added to this family and I am so thrilled.
So last night for the first time in 7 weeks I finally feel like I got a peaceful and restful night of sleep.
God is Good!
Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
