A "TO DO" Meltdown
So things start racing around in my brain of everything that needs to be done before the baby comes. I sent Luke a list of about 15 things that need to be done and in the subject line put, "TO Do's - Getting Stressed Out!".....I have the best husband ever....Luke sent me an email back with exactly what he can do and when we can do our "to do's". He is the best!
Week 23
This is what a weekly update said, "Can you believe it’s only 17 weeks until your baby’s ready to pop out? Her skin is still transparent, but now she’ll start gaining that healthy baby fat. She’s over a pound now and is the size of a loaf of bread. Talk about a bun in the oven! Speaking of talk, keep talking; she can hear you!"
So exciting!!!

Grandpa's Funeral
My Grandpa's funeral was beautiful. It definitely was a celebration of who he was. It was great to see family and friends as well. All our family wore shamrock stickers and there was an Irish bagpiper there. It was perfect!

June 12, 2004
This past Saturday Luke and I celebrated our 6th Wedding Anniversary. I can't believe that it has been 6 years already. We spent the whole day together just the 2 of us and had a great day, despite the rainy weather. We slept in (enjoying these times while we can ) went and visited some garage sales in the rain and then enjoyed a great dinner at Biaggi's.
Sunday we headed to the Albertville Friendly Days Parade. We were there with some neighbors and cheered on their kids in the parade. I can't wait to be able to take our little girl to a parade!

My neighbors, Angie and Meghan, and then the husbands, Matt, Luke and Troy.

My Grandpa Gallagher aka "Gramps"
Yesterday, June 9, 2010 my Grandpa went home to be with the Lord. He was 93 years old and lived a long and happy life. He was married to my Grandma Gloria for 69 years!
I had the wonderful advantage of growing up with a loving Grandpa who I was able to spend a lot of time with.
He fought in World War II and would love to tell us stories about the war. He was an avid hunter and loved golf and baseball.
I can remember many times him teaching me how to swing a bat or instructing me how to drive the little fishing boat at Big Birch Lake and what spots on the lake I needed to be careful of. Gramps was very old fashioned and not so keen on watching his first grandchild, a girl, learn to drive a boat but he would smile as I succeeded in getting the motor going and driving around on the lake. I can also remember as I learned how to water Ski, knowing my Grandpa was up on the boat house watching as I got up on 2 ski's than got up on 1. I would come back soaked and exhausted and he would give me a great big hug and tell me "good job!"
Gramps also loved his yard at Big Birch Lake. He was always so meticulous about weeds...our "chore" would be to pick up the sticks and acorn's in the yard and when we would have a bucket full of acorns he would smile so big and say, "lets go eat a chocolate chip cookie!". Sweets were one of my Grandpa's favorite things, whether it be my Grandma's chocolate chip or peanut butter cookies he would be sneaking, after every meal my Grandpa would have ice cream. He loved ice cream and would have it with any dessert.
Gramps loved family, it was always important to him, whether we were all seated around the table for dinner, or on a boat ride or at Christmas when he would pass out $100 bills to our parents for their gift, he felt a sense of pride. You always knew that he wanted to give to his family in every way that he could.
My Grandpa was a wonderful man and will be missed. In the last couple of years he suffered from Alzheimer's, however every time I went to visit him he would get a big smile on his face. He may not have been able to communicate verbally his last year of life, but he was able to with his smile.
I will always remember my Grandpa's smile.

1/2 Way There!!!
20 Weeks Pregnant and feeling great!
We had our official 20 week ultrasound today at the MN Perinatal Clinic. The tech. confirmed that yes, we are having a baby GIRL!!!! :)
The best part again is that she is perfectly healthy. I had a twinge of nervousness as I felt like the tech. looked at her heart for an extended period of time, but thankfully that was just to confirm that everything looks great!
I have been feeling good. I definitely need to post a picture of myself as the belly has popped and maternity clothes are usually a must.
That is it for now.....I am getting ready for Sari's bridal shower I am having at my house on Saturday! Can't wait!!!

Cravings??
I wouldn't necessarily say that I have cravings yet....however there are certain things that I love to eat:
Apples....eat 1 a day
Milk........could drink it with every meal
Graham Crackers....what I usually eat for breakfast
Ice Cream
Caffeine Free Diet Coke....when I need something sweet to eat, this is a good sweet tooth fix
That is about it so far....
Luke and I are heading to the Twins game tonight. I am hoping that it doesn't rain. Tomorrow I have Sari's first dress fitting!!! I can't wait! Then we have our neighborhood block party and Sunday a shower for Sari. It will be a busy weekend, but fun things to do.
Enjoy your weekend friends and family!
