The Juggling Act

My life is now a circus and I am a juggler!!!
I can't imagine what life will be like when I have to run kids around to different events and activities.
It has definitely been an adjustment being back to work. Thankfully I work at a place that when I leave work I am done for the day and don't take anything home with me. I have loved picking Aubrie up from Daycare or Grandma's and seeing her smile at me. I miss her everyday but know she is well taken care of with Vicki (Daycare lady) and her 2 Grandma's. The hard part comes once I get home....all the things that need to be done. And for those of you who know me well....I am my mother's daughter! And actually proud of it! :) My mom taught me that I should put my things away and keep a clean house. I try my best to do that, but it definitely is harder w/ little princess Aubrie around :)
I have realized that if I give myself 1 thing to do a night, then that helps me stay on top of things. Last night as I sat in bed feeding Aubrie at 7pm I actually fell asleep. I thought I wouldn't have the motivation to get anything done, thankfully I did and even was able to workout! Hooray!

I am looking forward to tomorrow night because Luke doesn't have hockey. We are going to have dinner and crack open a bottle of wine and watch Dexter once we get Aubrie to bed....Looking forward to that!

Weekend Recap

We had a great weekend.

Friday night Liberty Title (the co. I work for) put on a Client Appreciation Party to raise money for SpareKey organization. It is an organization that provides assistance to Minnesota homeowners with critically ill or seriously injured children by making a mortgage payment on the families behalf. Luke came after his hockey game and we had a great night out while my mom watched Aubrie.

Saturday morning Aubrie and I headed to someones house from church for a New Mom's brunch. We had a great time and Aubrie was able to meet 2 other babies not too much older than her. Luke went and golfed at one of those simulator things and shot an 83, he had a great time and then headed home to watch Dexter. We started watching the TV Series while I was on maternity leave and the only movie store by us didn't have season three for like 5 weeks! So we were excited to start watching again this weekend.

Sunday I taught Sunday School. I teach Kindergarten / 1st Grade...I seriously love teaching Sunday mornings....getting Aubrie and Luke and I to church on time seems like a lot of chaos, but once I am with those little kids, it is so fun and I am so thankful for that hour every week with them. Our lesson this week was from the Old Testament when David became King and went to get the Ark of the Covenant back (that is what the 10 Commandments were held in), well on his way back, with his army of 30,000 people they walked 6 steps and then would stop and praise the Lord. So with my little kiddies we marched around the gym, counted to 6 and then stopped and yelled, "Praise God" and threw our hands up in the air! It was so fun and the kids seemed to love it.

So nothing too exciting going on. Learning to be a wife and a mom and work full time in the house and at work!!! :)

Great Weekend, Doing Great

We had a great weekend....Saturday after seeing my baby girl make some adorable faces :) We packed up and headed to New Hope Bowl to support my B-in-law Ryan's Baseball team. It was fun for us to have everyone meet Aubrie and to bowl a little. Luke's highest game was a 166!!! We are thinking about maybe joining a league next year....Sar and Ry....want some competition!!!?? :)

We then headed over to Ryan and Sar's house to hang out. We started off playing Wii fit...it was a lot of fun...here is Sari hoola-hooping!! Sorry Sar....

We even did Yoga and made Luke do it, it was hilarious! I wish I had video of that! I taught Sunday school on Sunday and then we had lunch at my parents. It was a good weekend.

Here are a couple more pics from the past few days. Aubrie went to my parents yesterday and they were wheeling her around in a stroller inside, it was so funny, she loved it!

Also, I want to say thank you to everyone for checking on me in my first full week back to work. It has been going good so far. I am VERY thankful that I like my job and the company I work for. The hardest part is the last 10 minutes before I actually have to get out the door, but we are getting the hang of it, haven't been late for work yet!!

Power of Prayer

You know when you feel silly praying for your missing favorite sock to show up, or for the weather to get better....or when you LOOSE YOUR CELL PHONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, I did just that today...lost my cell phone that is. Here is how it all went.....

It was a lovely snowy day on Jan. 13, 2011 and Ali and Aubrie headed into Maple Grove for Aubrie's 12 week (3 months already!!!!) pictures. She did a FABULOUS job being cute and I can't wait to get the pics! My dear friend Bethany met Aubrie, her Grammy and I at Babies R Us, we had lunch at Byerly's and then went shopping to Old Navy, headed to Grammy's to eat (Aubrie that is) and then Bethany and I ran to Targ-et Boutique! Well....Bethany and I were chatting away and little did I know that my cell phone fell out of the pocket of my jacket!!!!!!

After Target, Marshall's and DSW :) we headed back to my parents and my mom explained how she called me like 15 times to see if I could grab something for her from Target....the panic started! I always have my phone somewhere near me and especially when I am without my little punkin!!! So I searched High and Low in my parents house, everything I had with me and my car about 5 times even with a flash light. I called EVERY SINGLE store I had been to today (which was A LOT!) and no one had found an iphone. All I kept thinking was, "Luke is going to shoot me!" These phones are NOT cheap. Well after an hour of searching I called AT&T and they were able to give me this program for free, it tracks your phone!!! Well a text went to Luke's phone and he was at a hockey game so I wasn't able to access the program... I retraced my steps and realized the phone probably fell out of the car when I got out of my car at Target. My dad followed me to Target and I couldn't find my phone......All I could think was that it was probably covered in about 2 inches of snow and ran over about 15 times! I went home discouraged, praying that it would show up.

I came home and Luke called me (on my dads phone - safety first!!), gave me the pass code I needed and I was able to see that my phone was in the Target parking lot!! How amazing!! SO....with many prayers being said by me, my mom and dad, my dad drove back to Target got out of his car and walked directly to my phone!!! PRAISE THE LORD!!!! God listens to our prayers even when it is for something as silly as a phone. Praise God that he looks out for us at all times.

Pretty sure I will be more conscious of my phone from now on!!! Again, Praise the Lord Above!!!

Hi Ho Hi Ho It's Back to Work I Go

So tomorrow starts my first week with a Monday...wa waaaaaaaa
I am working M/W/F this week. Aubrie has her 2nd day of daycare tomorrow. I felt like a horrible mom driving away last Wed. because I got emotional, but didn't ball my eyes out or anything. I realized after I picked her up that I really missed her a ton being away from her all day, so we will see how tomorrow goes. She did great her first day, her daycare lady, Vicki said she propped her up on some pillows and all the kids got to take turns talking to Aubrie...how cute!

I am excited for Tuesday because I will be able to hang out with my mom and dad. They get back tomorrow night after being gone for 15 days on a Safari in Africa. I can't wait to see their pictures, but it sure will be good to have them home. I know Sari and I both realize that we need our Mommy and Daddy still ;)

So Tuesday I have class as well and then will hopefully meet with my mentor Becky! I love every time I get to meet with her. She helps me stay sain and remember what really is important in life. I thank God for bringing her into my life!

Aubrie is doing wonderful. Her Grandma Debbie watched her on Friday last week and they did great :)

I am sad to have to go back to work and not be able to be with my little punkin all the time, but I am excited to figure out the balance of work and life and being a mom! I finally am in the club!! :)
