Room Coming Together

So these pictures are not the best as they were taken off my phone and it made the ceiling look green....which it is not. I had attempted at the circles and they didn't go so well...so, my wonderful dad came over yesterday and finished the circles for us! I was so excited! They look awesome. The white trim goes up next week, in between the pink and green!!! It is so fun to see our ideas come together!

Friday at the Fair

Luke and I had a wonderful time just the 2 of us at the State Fair. We enjoyed:
-pulled pork sandwich
-Deep Fried Pickles

-Gizmo sandwich

-Pronto-pup

-Gyro

- Fresh squeezed Lemonade

-Cheese Curds

-Vanilla Malt

- Sweet Martha's Cookies & Milk

Ok, after writing all that it looks like A TON of food......but we were there for almost 8 hours and split everything!!

We saw a lot and had a very relaxing and enjoyable time.....we even were able to see a Rodeo!!

This is not the best picture of me as I was exhausted and relaxing on the couch....but here is my Hoagie Boy cuddling w/ me.......he is so sweet. He likes to lay his little head on my belly.

I am starting to feel uncomfortable, but I guess that goes with the territory.

I don't think I updated everyone on this information....After my ultrasound last week I got a call from my doctor. She said babies size is looking good, average size, not too big, not too small.... However, my doctor did say that my Amniotic Fluid is on the low end, so they will be monitoring me to make sure it doesn't get too low. So I go back for an ultrasound a week from today to get that re-checked.

Luke and I are taking a 1/2 day off tomorrow and heading to the State Fair. We used to go with college friends, then the past 2 years we have gone w/ our neighbors and their 4 kids, well this year we are going just the 2 of us! I think it will be a nice change and we really can use some time just us. So to the fair we go tomorrow and then we are heading up to the lake on Saturday morning. Luke's parents are coming for the day Saturday so that will be fun. Then Sunday we may go golfing....not sure how I will be able to golf with this belly, but I will attempt it :)

32 Weeks......Countdown Begins!!

So to this point I have been counting up! But now with only 8 weeks left I feel like I need to start counting down the weeks!! :)

We had an ultrasound today and it went great. The tech said to us, "She's still a girl!!" :)

My belly size is measuring about 2 weeks smaller than how far along I am, so my doctor wanted to make sure baby was measuring ok. Baby is measuring right on, I actually measured 1 day ahead of schedule. So due date of Oct. 18th is looking good!!! Baby right now is about 4 pounds, no wonder my back is starting to hurt!!

This weekend I was able to pick out fabric to recover our rocking chair...now I just have to figure out how to get it re-covered....my mom and I have a project ahead of us.

That is all for now! My first shower is on Tuesday and I can't wait!!!!!

My Grandma

My Grandma Gloria (my Dad's Mom) has dementia. She is at a wonderful place in Maple Grove called Wildflower that is a Memory Care facility. My Papa (Mom's Dad) is at the attached Sr. Assisted Living facility, Rose Arbor.

Every year in the summer they have a big cook out. I stopped by yesterday after work to see my Papa and was happy to see they had brought the Memory Care people over as well. They were all wearing yellow hats. I was so glad to be able to see my Grandma and say Hi. She recognized me and got a huge smile on her face. She didn't know my name, but knew that I belonged to her somehow. Here is a great pic. of my Grandma!

I Feel Pregnant

For the first time I can really say that I feel pregnant! I could go and do everything as normal before, but just the past 2 weeks I really feel like this belly gets in the way and life is just not as comfortable in doing everyday things as it once was.

For Example:

1. I can't bend over to tie my shoes

2. I wake up about 3 times a night (amazing how God prepares you for the baby coming!)

3. I usually have trouble falling asleep, by 10pm I am out cold

4. If I drop something at my desk I can't just bend over sitting in my chair to get it.....I really try not to drop anything!!!

5. I have to actually lift the steering wheel up in my car to get out because my belly so big now.

6. My walks have become shorter and shorter because I find myself having to go to the bathroom about 1/2 way through

7. My maternity clothes I have, well a lot of the shirts don't even fit anymore!!

Ok, so those are just a few examples...... :) I am not complaining at all, it is just so crazy to see how life changes as this little baby girl keeps on growing! I feel her move all the time and it is so exciting....sometimes I think she is doing jumping jacks!!

Ryan and Sari made it home safely from their honeymoon. They had a fabulous time! I can't wait to see all their pics! This weekend I am helping Sar get all her closed moved in :)

A Check off the List

Last weekend was nice and relaxing. Luke and I went out to dinner and a movie on Friday night, which we have not done the two together in probably over a year. I seriously can't tell you the last time I stepped foot in a movie theatre. We saw our movie at the Muller Theatre in Rogers.....the best part they had Caffeine Free Diet Coke! I was in heaven!! We saw Dinner w/ Schmuck's - really dumb, but pretty funny. I would have rather seen Eclipse :)

Saturday I had a gift card for a facial & massage at the Sanctuary in Eden Prairie. My facial was awesome, very relaxing, however this baby girl I swear didn't stop moving the whole time!

Sunday Luke and I took the day to sleep in and just spend the 2 of us. We figured our next weekend would be super busy with the wedding so we needed some down time together. We headed to Lowe's to just look at paint colors for the nursery. Well when we got there, our looking at colors ended up buying all the paint and heading home to get started...so much for a relaxing day! So after priming the room, my dad came over and we were able to get the whole nursery painted! I was so excited to have such a big project accomplished before my sisters wedding.
