Crazy Weekend

Well a lot happened this past weekend...I didn't even have time to write about it at the time.

Friday night Luke and I went to Maynard's for dinner and then saw Oceans 13...it was awesome, we highly recommend it.

Saturday I woke up and did the Albertville 5K. It was so beautiful Sat. morning, just the right temp. and sun shining. I jog/walked it and finished in 37 minutes, so now I have a goal of what to beat for next time. I think I might sign up for the St. Michael 5K on July 14th...anyone want to join me?

Saturday evening was the most fun...but first...the most exciting thing. Kurbis and Bethany came over to have some good 'ol hick fun w/ us in Albertville. Bethany and I had run to Caribou to get a coffee and then sat outside for a while. Then Kurbis and Luke came out and handed me a sheet of paper. I thought, " what the heck is this? " I read it, then had to look at it again! I started jumping up and down screaming. They had given me an itinerary for the 4 of us for a weekend in Vegas! The best part of all, Bethany and I going to see Celine Dion. We are going Labor Day weekend...I can't wait!

After that excitement we met John & Rebecca and headed to the carnival and beer gardens! Ana and Adam met us there and then my neighbors Ben and Erica did as well. We had a blast w/ our friends, ate great foot long corn dogs...drank beer...listened to music...watched fireworks...drank more beer and practically passed out by the time we got home cuz we were so tired. Little did I know the fun I would have the next day...NOT!!!

Ana and Adam spent the night, so I woke up and Ana and I sat outside and watched my babies play. Adam washed their car and Luke was golfing...of course! We went to breakfast and then off to the parade I went. Suggestion...don't be in a parade after you jog/run a 5K the day before and after drinking beer that night...I was hurting. So needless to say I thought I was going to pass out in the sun...it was 90 degrees and there were over 120 floats in the parade and I was Jazzercising down the road!!! At least I got a good work out.

After the parade, I came home to clean out my car. Of course I can't leave out one of the most important parts of the weekend...the Sopranos finale. I must say I had tears in my eyes...I am sad to know the story is over. I love that show...I should have been in the mob...just kidding!

So all in all it was a wonderful, but crazy weekend!

Does Anyone Read This???

I am just curious....am I writing to myself or does anyone out there actually read my blog? Just curious?

I like getting responses :)

Weird Dream

So last night I had a really weird dream. Luke and I were given a very large sum of money....if only it were true!

This morning I woke up and took the dogs out. The sprinklers were on in in the back, so we went to the side of the house. It was pretty funny cuz all of a sudden they came on where we were standing and Hogan got soaked!

We were given one of those cards that has someone's name and what they mean...well we were given one for Brian, this is what is says...

Brian - "Strength, Honor" - Cast your cares on the Lord and He will sustain you: He will never let the righteous fall. Pslam 55:22

That couldn't be more perfect for everything we have gone through!

Tears on my pillow

The past few nights have been very hard for me. It could be the fact that I haven't had a lot of sleep, but I have realized that I don't have time during the day anymore (since I am working) to think about life and everything that I have gone through like I did before.

Because of not having that time I find that when I lay down at night, I start thinking and then the tears come. Last night it was the fact that I read Steph's blog to read all the things that she found so amazing and never knew would happen when she would have a baby. It made me sad to know that I won't have that with Brian Lucas. I already spent as much time with him here on earth that I would. Don't get me wrong, I am so happy for Steph and Brandt. But because she is such a good friend, and we were supposed to be going through all of this together, it makes me sad. I haven't seen Addison yet...but I can't wait to meet her. I look at her pictures and see how beautiful she is, I only can think that her and Brian Lucas would have been such good little friends...then come the tears on my pillow.

Northwest SUCKS!

You know how you hear about those horror story of airplane rides...well yesterday was the day from HELL! We got to Norfolk airport around 11:30am. We were at the gate right on time, boarded took our seats...and then we sat.

First there was something wrong w/ one of the wheels. So because Northwest Airlines is so cheap they didn't have a mechanic at the airport, only on-call, so he had to drive from his house to the airport to fix our plane. So he fixes the plane and we think, finally we may even still make our connector flight in Detroit.

Of course then we can't take off because there was bad weather in Detroit, so we got off the plane for an hour. We got back on and of course, an engine doesn't start. By this time the mechanic had gone back home. So they called the mechanic again and he came back. 5 hours later than we were supposed to, we were up in the air on our way to Detroit.

Needless to say we missed our connector and didn't get into Minneapolis until about 12:30am. Then to make matters worse, they didn't have our luggage! 23 people on the flight didn't have their bags. I mean, how stupid can people be!!!!

This morning I went to work w/ no makeup, not a brush through my hair and w/ 3 hours of sleep. So if you talked to me today and I was a little bit on edge, that is why!!!

NORTHWEST SUCKS!!!!

Drink it away

I am in Virginia for my cousins wedding. We took a small plane here from MN and we actually had to walk down the stairs of the plane cuz they didn't have a ramp or something...weird.

My dear friend Steph had her baby this morning, Addison Noelle at 8:39am. I did talk to Steph and she said that she was 8lbs 9oz, and she was 2 weeks early! So now 4 of my good friends have had baby girls this year. It must be the year of the girl. I am so excited for Steph and Brandt. However, it does make me sad that I can't be at the same stage of life w/ them. Steph and I were married about 6 weeks apart and our babies would have been about 10 weeks apart.

On a lighter note, I get to drink lots of alcohol this weekend....wash away the sorrow w/ alcohol...JUST KIDDING!!!!

Back to the Grind

So this morning at approximately 8:20am I pulled into a parking lot ready to begin my first day of many to come at my new job. I took a deep breath, walked up to the door, pulled, pulled again...it was locked!!! I looked around to make sure no one saw me looking like an idiot trying to open a locked door and walked back to my car and hopped in. It was then 8:27am and someone pulled up and opened the door, I waited about one minute, took a deep breath and walked in the office. There was no one in sight...I poked my head around a couple corners, but still...no one. So I stood there for almost 1 full minute until someone came to the front. That was a strange start to my interesting first day.

I shortly found out that the person who will train me in was not there, so I spent my day creating this new blog and surfing the web. Thank goodness tomorrow is a new day.

On a deeper level...I was feeling a little weird today. Just the fact that I was working at a strange place, with new people it started go get overwhelming. It made me think about why I was at a new job, and then I got sad. I think that I can do a pretty good job for being normal on the outside, but on the inside to let you all know...I am screaming and crying still, telling God how it isn't fair that I don't have a baby and that I don't feel myself. I feel like my life has no purpose now...I was supposed to have a baby, and be a mom...now I am sitting behind a desk...again. Thankfully I can pray...and pray...that is where I find my comfort for now.
