We Almost DIED

With request from many fans I have decided to postpone the cancellation of my blog.

Last night I decided that spaghetti was on the menu for dinner. I make some kick-ass spaghetti! Ok, not really, but the Vodka Sauce we use is really nummy :)

So I put the sauce on low as it was almost done and we ate dinner. Well when I was cleaning up I grabbed the pan and the burner was out. Little did I know that the gas was still on. We decided to lay in bed and watch TV (don't get a comfy bed, because all we do is lay in it!). I fell asleep and about an hour later woke up to Hogan standing over me and Sadie licking my face. Ok, they wanted something. I headed toward the kitchen to fill up the dogs water dish and couldn't believe the smell! Seriously I felt like gagging with every breath that I took in! So I quickly figured out that the smell was gas and it was coming from the Stove. I turned the burner off immediately and opened up every single window upstairs. I was so scared that my doggies were going to pass out and that we were going to die! Seriously, the smell was SO bad. So much for a carbonmonixide detector.......if that even works for gas.......I don't know science too well!

Anyways.........After the house being opened up and freezing I closed up the house but was afraid to go to sleep. I said to Luke, "I am scared to go to sleep, should I open a window in our bedroom?" He said, "No, it's ok if we don't wake up!" WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!! I said, Hello, No, it is NOT ok if we don't wake up! He made me SO mad. Obviously it is ok, but I have a lot of life I want to live before that happens!

So that is my story of how we almost died.......

I am thinking that my blogging days are coming to an end.

Yesterday was just one of those days that I needed to cry. I am not sure why because it is not that time of the month even :) So I had a godo cry at work and today I feel better!

Tomorrow marks the time in my life where I can say that I am on the backside of 20, which means I am almost to 30, which means, I AM GETTING OLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mt. Fuji vs. Benihana's

Last night we had dinner with Ana and Adam at Mt. Fuji in Maple Grove. It was SO good, it is just like BEnihana's but MUCH better chef's that cook the food in front of you, a lot cheaper and the atmosphere is just all around better. So Mt. Fuji you have my vote!

It was great to finally get together with Ana and Adam.

Luke made it home safe from Vegas, but why the heck does he get all the upgrades when I am not there?! He got to fly home 1st Class. He said he got a whole meal, all the alcohol he wanted becuase the plane was delayed (i guess they usually cut you off at 3) and they even made fresh chocolate chip cookies for him! NO FAIR! I told him he better start trying now to get the upgrades for us when we go in May!

I hope everyone has a great weekend.....it is almost noon and I am still in my jammies.....I love it!

Change for Ali

So I cut my hair off! I am not sure what I think yet. I definitely will never go shorter than this....but I am enjoying it for now, it just is SO different. It is good thought to have something different as well. I do love the color especially.

Enough about my hair! Luke is out of town today and comes home very late tomorrow night. He is in Vegas for work. He called me today and said too bad I wasn't there because they upgraded his room for him to a Jacuzzi suite! He said there are even mirrors above the bed and jacuzzi tub...now that made me laugh......only in Vegas! :)

Work is busy this week as it is the end of the month, which means that I usually have a little longer days...but I don't mind since I know it is like that at the end of the month.

I thought since Luke was gone tonight I would watch a movie and have a glass of wine. Well the glass of wine thing was great, the movie, not so much. I do NOT recommend the Bachelor with Chris O'Donnel and Renee Zelwigger. It was SO stupid. Probably the worst movie both have ever been in!

A Walk to Remember

I made the mistake of watching a Walk to Remember tonight....SO SAD! Tears were just streaming down my face. The horrible part of when I watch something sad is that I start crying and then I can't stop! FYI be prepared before you watch that movie and make sure you have a box of tissue by you!

Tomorrow at this time we will be flying the friendly sky to Park City Utah.

I am really looking forward to a vacation...though it doesn't even seem like I am going because I haven't packed or prepared at all! Usually I start to get my things together early in the week, but work was so busy for me last week that didn't happen.

It is funny, I am really excited to get away, but I don't want to leave my babies...isn't that silly! They truly are my "babies" as most of you know how I spoil them rotten :) But I am going to miss their little faces...oh my poopies :)

On Friday I dropped off a bag full of things at the ARC for Bethany and Kurbis. I can't wait for them to get their things...I am sure it will be exciting to have some new stuff.

I hope everyone has a great week....we will try not to hit a tree or fall off a chair lift ;)

Natural Beauty 2/3/08

Our mind can do funny things. I have been having the most vivid dreams lately. The other night after emailing Bethany, I had a dream that Luke and I were in Africa w/ Kurbis and Bethany....we had Sadie and Hogan w/ us and I was balling cuz Hogan was going to get stolen.
Then last night I dreampt that I was a 5th grade school teacher and I was making lesson plans and doing all this stuff in my dream....weird I know!

This week is my last week of work and then it is off to Park City, Utah for some skiing and R&R!
I am looking forward to the R&R more than anything...I am going to bring a good book and just relax and enjoy the beauty of the mountains, and freeze of course :)

Sorry I don't really have much of an update for anyone on things. Luke and I have just been really busy with work. I think we both put in about a 50 hour week or more last week, so that is why vacation will be greatly appreciated.

I am looking to do a Jewelry show in February, so if anyone is interested, please let me know!
