Turkey day was a blast. We had a great meal over at my parents house and everyone liked my deviled eggs! :)
After dinner we played games with my cousins, it was fun.
Before we ate our meal we went around the room to say what we were thankful for. It went Ryan and then Luke. Everyone was being all serious and when it got to Ryan he said, "I am thankful for Luke." We all burst out laughing. I said that I was thankful for my job.
Well that is all...........I am tired from my shopping extravaganza last night. We were at the outlet mall from 10pm to just after 1am. So, my mind can't do a whole lot, I have some pics from our experience that I will post later!
Love to all!
Welcome to my life as it is...Here is where I will write my thoughts on life and where it takes Luke and I. Enjoy!

I like these peeps!

These pictures are from the jewelry party at my house.
I can't believe that tomorrow is already Wednesday. We have a VERY FUN weekend ahead of us.
Wednesday night I will be making devilled eggs for Thanksgiving.
Thursday the plan is to wake up and watch the Thanksgiving Day Parade. Head to my parents house about 11am. Spend the day there, eat good food, play games. Then we will head back to my house around 7pm or so. Then we are hitting the "Albertville Crawl", then we are getting in line at the Outlet Mall at 11pm for the stores to open at Midnight.
Friday I have to work from 8:30am-11am and then I will probably head home for a nap. We are then having Thanksgiving dinner that night w/ Luke's side of the family.
Saturday morning we are waking up and heading to the cabin to hang out w/ my fam. and then on Sunday go pheasant hunting.
It should be a fun weekend.
I hope everyone has a very HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!

A Great Turnout

Last night was a blast! There were 12 people that ended up coming to my house. We had a great time looking at jewelry, drinking wine, apple cider, hot chocolate w/ peppermint shnapps and Hazelnut coffee! :) Oh and we ate FABULOUS cookies that Bethany made by scratch for the special occasion.
So if anyone was not able to make it, you still have time to get orders in.......I will be closing the show on Monday, the 24th.
Go to www.liasophia.com/alipeterson click on "Our Jewelry" and then "Current Catalog".
Funny things about last night.......My sister decided to light EVERY SINGLE candle in my house, which if you have been in my house, is A LOT! I went to put out the mugs and one of my favorite mugs went flying out of my hand and broke all over the floor. This is the 2nd glass I have broke this week.......not sure why things keep flying out of my hands! Bethany and Sari and I pulled out the camera after everyone had left and started taking pictures of ourselves (I will post them this weekend) we are dorks who love the camera!
So that is about it for now. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

A Loss that can Never be replaced
So I copied this picture from Natalie's blog. Here we are showing off that the 3 of us all finally have rings around our fingers. We spent tons of time together back in the day.
It is sad to say that the 3 of us who have been great friends since way back when now share way too much in common. On Nov. 12th, 2005 Natalie lost her first baby, Allen Michael. On April 13th, 2007 I lost my little Brian Lucas, on September 29, 2008 I lost my second little baby, which I call Angel #2, on Friday night, November 14, Steph lost a baby. This would have been her second child. Now that little Angel is up in heaven playing with others.
Losing a baby is such a difficult thing. It is not something that many can understand and you could always look at it as, "it could be worse if...". But no matter what if some else may have had something worse happen, what you experienced hurts and it is no fun. For that moment I like to go back to my common phrase, "it sucks."
It sucks that Natalie lost her baby boy and that Nora and Joli don't have a big brother to play with. It sucks that Steph miscarried and that Addie won't have a little sister or brother as soon as they thought. It sucks that I don't get to even start trying again until probably June.
Like Natalie said, I am sad for the 3 of us. That all 3 of us have experienced loss. It may not be exactly the same, but it is loss of a child and that is sad and it hurts.
God has a plan, I am sure of that. I just pray for Steph, that right now God comforts her in this time of hurt and that he leads her through it with strength.

"AT FIRST SIGHT"
I am reading a book right now by Nicholas Sparks called, "At First Sight". In the book a father is giving advice to his son in regards to marriage. I thought this was great advice!
He is talking in about arguments in marriage........."People are who they are and no one is prefect, but marriage is about becoming a team. You're going to spend the rest of your life learning about each other, and every now and then, things blow up. But the beauty of marriage is that if you picked the right person and you both love each other, you'll always figure out a way to get through it."

Allen Michael's Anniversary
Three years ago today my dear friends Allen and Natalie Lepien lost their baby boy.
I can remember when I first heard the news, I was sitting in my office where I worked at Counselor Realty. I think I got a call from a friend's mom telling me what had happened. Natalie had been working at the time and her and I would constantly email back and forth all day long. I felt like I knew everything that had gone on during her pregnancy. So when I heard the news I can remember this panicked sort of feeling, almost like I couldn't breathe. Steph and I headed up to Duluth the next day to support our dear friends. It was so hard to see them in so much pain.
Natalie and Allen had to face a very unfortunate situation losing their beloved baby boy. But watching the way that shaped them and how it brought them closer together has been a beautiful thing to see. That doesn't replace the pain though. The pain of losing a child never goes away. There are good days but the bad days still creep in here and there.
The day I found out that Luke and I lost little Brian, I called Natalie right away. She had been there for me so much through my pregnancy and was so excited for us. When she heard the news she cried for me.
You can't really understand the pain and loss of a child until it happens to you. And I never wish that upon anyone.
But today, I remember little Allen Michael and pray for his beautiful parents.
Today my heart hurts for Allen and Natalie!
God help them through today!!!
