I look HOT!

There is nothing better than being able to have a good laugh with your husband.

For the past 3 nights in a row I have been rollerblading 6 miles! Last night I debated to go or not, but decided that it wasn't raining so I would get my arse out there and move. (I am starting to train for my marathon in September).

Let me tell you, I looked HOT last night. Picture this...........Ali dressed in black leggings a long sleeve white shirt with Luke's old Fridley Golf windbreaker over me and a pink bandanna covering my ears and then my huge honkin Rollerblades to top it all off.

I came in the house to get my water bottle and Luke and I both laughed at the ridiculousness of how I looked. Seriously, I can't believe I had the guts to go out and Rollerblade while looking like such a dork!

As I made my way out of the neighborhood I just kept thinking, "oh I hope no one in my neighborhood drives by!" Thankfully I was safe. I didn't see anyone as I went as quick as I could out of my neighborhood!

A Saturday in the life of Ali

Saturday's are the best days.....especially when Luke is golfing!

I woke up around 9:30am to let the dogs out and feed them. I love this time of year because I can have the sliding door open to the deck and just leave it open w/ out mosquito and creapy crwaly things entering my house. After feeding the babies, I got back in bed to sleep in some more. Luke isn't necessarily an early riser, but he is up by 9am usually on the weekends and of course wants me to get up with him, so I was glad when I could crawl back inside my comfy warm soft bed and close my eyes for another hour...or more!

I ended up getting up around 11am.......I know.....I know....you think I am lazy! Well hello! I was in Vegas last weekend, I needed to catch up on sleep :)

So I ventured outside and it was beautiful.....sunny and warm...finally! I realized I ate a bowl of cereal out on the deck and had my morning coffee...there is nothing better than being in your pj's until almost noon on a Saturday! Finally I realized I should get out of my pj's to put on more comfy clothes to do yard work in. I changed, threw the dogs in the car and dropped them off to get groomed. Hogan wasn't very happy....poor poopies!

I drove to my favorite Nursery in town, Schultes......I bought a couple new perennials for my garden and went home and planted them. I LOVE working in my garden........I still have a lot to do, i ma going to take out all teh wood chips and either put new ones in or put down cocoa shells, we'll see.

So after 3 hours in the garden I picked up my dogs and headed back home. I sat outside and enjoyed the day and then when Luke got home, I took a nap.........what day could be better than that! :)

Oh.........then of course we had another storm come our way...I was SO scared and freaked out....I found the dog leashes and hooked the dogs up and made them sit under the stairs w/ me. I think seeing what happened in Hugo just scared the crap out of me, so I took cover! Thankfully no more hail damage than we already have!

Welcome BEN!

1 week ago today I was in Las Vegas. We had a great time, gambled, ate good food, drank good drinks, won money on penny machines. It was fun....I will post some pics when I actually have some time.

Since I got back I have visited Ben Rowles.......He is SO tiny. I don't think that I have EVER held a baby so tiny! He is a beatiful little guy and Luke and I are SO excited for Marty and Jessie. He came a month early and was 5lbs. 11oz. and 20 inches long.

Exactly 1 Week

It has been exactly 1 week since my last blog.....sorry friends.......I just haven't felt "in the mood" to blog lately.

But I have some very exciting news.....I would like to give a shout out to my dear friends Marty and Jessie who had their little boy Benjamin Martin Rowles on Tuesday night, May 20th, he was 4 weeks early and weighed 5lbs. 11oz., and was 20 inches long....and is adorable. Luke and I couldn't be happier the new Mommy and Daddy. I haven't met him yet but hope to go see him when I get back from LAS VEGAS!

Luke, Sari, Ryan and I leave for Vegas tonight. I will be rushing home from work, throwing my suitcase in the car and heading to my parents to get everyone else and head to the airport. It is weird because I don't even feel like I am going on vacation! I can't wait though!
We get into Vegas about 10:45pm and come home on Monday evening.

This week at work has been busy, and stressful so I am definitely looking forward to a long weekend away. I hope everyone has a great long weekend!

"Live a Little"

As I left work yesterday my husband called me and in our "ghetto" voice that we use to say silly things to each other, I hear, "What up Bitches!" This is a phrase that is used too often between Luke, Sari and myself. :) I knew when I heard that, Luke was in a good mood. He then went on to say, so we are going to listen to Brandon's band tonight (Brandon is a guy Luke works w/ that I went to high school with). I said, Ummmm, OK, When? Where? He then proceeds to tell me that the band plays in St. Paul at 10:45PM!!!!!!!!! I said, Hold on there honey, that is SUPER late and I have to be at work at 7:30am the next morning. That is too late for me! I will be SO tired....and of course Luke's response to me is, "Live a Little!" So I pondered that phrase and thought, ya know what! Ok! I will "Live a Little" and get my booty to St. Paul for a 10:45pm show (actually they didn't start until 11pm!).

So I was adventurous last night and will probably pay for it today! But it was a great show, the band is called Said Method. They play next on June 26th at the Bunkers.........

Thank you to my friends for your support as I made a difficult phone call today. I let TRS (my old employer) know that I am not interested in a job w/ them and didn't agree with their business practices as of late. It is never fun to have to make that phone call, but I do feel better now that I have. Major changes have gone on w/ the company since I left, all of my friends have left or been let go and I just don't see myself there again.

The funny thing is that the person I spoke to said, "Well we are willing to offer you a pretty package." I stopped him right there and said, Ya know what? I don't make a ton of money, but I love my job and that is what is important to me. I enjoy coming to work every day and that is what matters. I told him money wouldn't make me move.

Yea for me! Thanks Ana for helping me with that call, LOVE YOU!

Best Invention Ever!!!!!!!

So the girls I scrapbook with always talk about this, so I finally did it. I went online to Walgreens and uploaded ALL of my pictures on there. When I say ALL, I mean ALL pictures, dating back to 2005, probably about 5oo. So now when I know I am going to scrapbook I can just go online and have Walgreens print out the pictures I want and then go and picture them up that day! How great is that!

FYI - I injured my back somehow. I have been having muscles spasms in my back since Saturday and and on SO much Ibuprofen. I never knew your back could hurt SO bad.....pray that it will get better soon cuz I need to be working out to get into a swim suit in 2 weeks :)

Congrats RY! Now on to VEGAS BABY!

We were finally able to tell Ryan this weekend that we are all going to vegas in 2 WEEKS!!!!!! Ryan (my sista's boy toy) graduated from Augsburg on Saturday and then we went to the Twins game w/ him and surprised him with a trip to Vegas the 4 of us. He was completely surprised and didn't know what to say. He just kept saying, "I'm going to Vegas Baby!"

Busy Days Ahead

I burnt the girls..........that is the one thing about tanning. You have to be careful of the girls cuz they sure burn easy :)

Tomorrow will be a VERY busy day for me. I am getting the oil changed on my car, heading to the Grove to get my dress for John and Rebecca's wedding altered, then going to Vicki's to pick up a gift for Rebecca for the shower at 3pm in Rogers and then heading to the Twins game! Yes, I will be exhausted by the end of the day.

It is just crazy how fast the Spring fills up with activities and things to do. Luke and I seriously have something every weekend from here on out until the 2nd weekend in June. It is just insane!

I am looking forward to summer coming, I can't wait to get up to my cabin and relax and be on the lake.

This was a fun day!

I can't believe it will be 4 years in June........wow, we look young, that makes me feel old!
