Too Much Fun...What's that mean!

Friday night was a night to remember! I think of the country song, "Too much fun! What's that mean, it's like too much money, there's no such thing!"

Needless to say, it was a good night out on the town with the ladies. We started at Geez in Albertville, then went next door to the Full Moon and then shut down the Corner Bar! Not to say that I am proud of that, but a girl needs a night on the town once in a while, right?

Saturday was a day of rest that ended with some good ol' Papa Murphy's pizza....seriously, that is the BEST pizza EVER!

Sunday we went to church and there was a baby dedication. It was really hard for me. I think because at the service we had for little Brian Pastor Russ dedicated him to the Lord, so that is something that will always hold a special place in my heart. We then had lunch with my parents and heard about their great week in Cancun. Then Luke and I went home for some SPRING CLEANING! Luke cleaned out the garage and I cleaned the house and opened up the windows to get some fresh air in.

It was a great weekend!

No Ring

So yesterday I brought my ring over to Continental Diamond to have it cleaned. They told me that I had 5 loose stones. I had to give them my ring! They told me they have to do some work on my ring so I don't loose the stones. So I won't have my wedding ring for about 2 weeks! I couldn't believe it. I never take my ring off, EVER! So now I am wearing my big ass Aquamarine on my left hand :) But it is strange.

Also - my Grandma called my sister the other night, she was talking to her, having a conversation and then all of a sudden she started going off on how my Uncle Mike has their car and they need it. Oh my.......poor Sari, had to talk to her.

Easter Brunch.........A Success

I can make one mean Egg Bake!



Brunch was good. It was weird not having my whole family there. And it was definitely interesting with my grandparents..........My grandma didn't know who Ali was when my sister picked them up and told them they were coming to my house. When my grandma got to the front door and I answered she looked at me and said, "Wow, you sure look like Ali." I replied, "Grandma, I am Ali.", she looked at my sister and said, "She just told me she is Ali!" Talk about weird. Then she said, "You are married?" She didn't know where she was or who anyone was. While we were eating she looked at Chuck, Luke's dad and said, "How do you like living in Sauk Centre?" Chuck didn't know what the heck to say and said, "I live in Columbia Heights." It was strange to see my Grandma so disoriented. She really had no clue where she was. If anyone knew my Grandma, she was always put together. She always had on a perfectly matching outfit with jewelry to match. No matter where she went she was always dressed nice. Even when she would be baking cookies! So seeing my Grandma without her hair done, and wearing an outfit that did not match at all was very weird, and hard and sad. I hope that I go before I loose my mind.

All in all it was a fine Easter. The service at MGEFC was great and the one thing that stuck out in my mind was Pastor Russ saying that because Jesus died for us, we will again see people who have died...........I will see my son again........amazing!

Happy Easter

There is nothing like enjoying an evening of hockey. Luke and I spent Friday night watching the Gophers win and the Wild win, very exciting.

Today I woke up, went to the grocery store and then proceeded to spend 5 hours cleaning my house. Seriously, it was disgusting. Not messy, but dirty. I hadn't really dusted in a long time. I mean, I give my house a once over every week, but I am talking blinds and all today. I was exhausted afterwards, but happy with the way my house looked spotless and everything had a place.

Tomorrow is Easter.......hmmmmmm...........I am having Sari, my Papa, my Grandma and Grandpa (who by the way are basically like mentally handicapped people now because my grandpa's Alzheimer's is so bad and my grandma's dementia is so bad) and Luke's parents over for brunch. Should be interesting. I am making brunch, and egg bake, bacon, fruit salad, coffee cake and for desert a nummy Schwan's pie. If no one has anywhere to go, feel free to come on by! Brunch at 1pm!

We had dinner tonight with Marty and Jessie whom we haven't seen since New Years (WAY TOO LONG TO GO!). Anyways, I just love getting together with them. Jessie is seriously the cutest little pregnant woman. She looks gorgeous pregnant, definitely has that pregnancy glow. Jessie you are FABULOUS!!!!!!! I just wanted to stare at her belly the whole time.....it is so cute. It makes me want a belly and to be preggers, but I can wait.

Well that is all for now.....nothing too exciting going on right now. I am sure I will have stories after tomorrow with the Old people :)

DETOX

Detox.........here I come!

Today I am starting a Detox w/ my friend Suzy (a co-worker) and my boss. It should be interesting. All I can eat, well nothing actually. I only can drink water and drink this mixture of organic lemons, organic sugar free maple syrup, and ginger. Oh sounds appetizing, doesn't it?

Well the reason for me doing this is to become healthy. I figure if I can get through Friday doing this, then I will hopefully start up this weekend with a healthy eating style and less Caffeine in my life. You people don't even want to know the amount of caffeine that I consume in a day.
Also, I have always had a stomach that gets upset pretty easy. I always feel like I can never eat anything good, because it doesn't sit well with my stomach, so I am hoping this whole detox thing will help that as well.

So any bets on how long I will last? They say if you make it through the first 2 days that you can do it for a week. It isn't even 8:30am and I am already hungry! Cheer me on friends....hopefully I can do it!

Happy Feet

Last night Luke and I grilled out for the first time since the snow flew. It was so nice to be able to go out on the deck and enjoy the fresh air. After dinner we enjoyed a stroll around the neighborhood with our doggies and then I watched the movie Happy Feet while Luke watched our Wild loose, :( .

I am most excited for tonight though, we have a DIP PARTY at my neighbors. Everyone is bringing food w/ dips! Erica, my neighbor loves to make dips.

At least they apologized

So this morning I found 75cents in my pocket and scrounged another 80cents from my purse. I drove up to Caribou to order my large dark roast. As I ordered I said, " One large dark roast, and, can you make sure that there is NO cream or sugar because yesterdy, (sigh) there was cream and sugar in my coffee." All I got was a, "I'm sorry about that." No, "I will give you your coffee free today, sorry for the mistake" Hello! I wanted a FREE COFFEE!
So I grabbed my coffee and drove away........

Also, last night we started watching the show LOST with our favorite neighbors, Ben and Erica. We enjoyed a papa murphy's pizza and beer. We watched the first 2 episodes of Lost. I liked it a lot more than I thought I would. So don't ask me to do anything Wednesday nights people, cuz that is my Lost night now :)

Get it RIGHT Caribou!

I woke up this morning with one of those horrible sinus headaches and took my time gettnig out of bed. I thought, ok, if I am going to be late to work, I might as well stop at Caribou. So I dug around the house for change and stopped at Carbiou. I orderd my usual, a Large dark roast and a blackberry scone, totalling $4.10.

I pulled up to the window handed over all of my quarters and was handed a small coffee. I lokoed at the girl and said, " I ordered a large." She apologized and they got me a large. As I was driving away I took a sip and practically spit it out! It had cream AND sugar in it! GROSS! I like coffee nice and strong and plain, no nothin' in it! I was so pissed.

So here I am at work.......sitting with my disgusting coffee and so mad. I paid good money for that coffee and they should have got it right!

Now I am trying to decide if I call and complain..............what do you think? I mean, Hello! If we are paying Caribou needs to GET IT RIGHT!

We Almost DIED

With request from many fans I have decided to postpone the cancellation of my blog.

Last night I decided that spaghetti was on the menu for dinner. I make some kick-ass spaghetti! Ok, not really, but the Vodka Sauce we use is really nummy :)

So I put the sauce on low as it was almost done and we ate dinner. Well when I was cleaning up I grabbed the pan and the burner was out. Little did I know that the gas was still on. We decided to lay in bed and watch TV (don't get a comfy bed, because all we do is lay in it!). I fell asleep and about an hour later woke up to Hogan standing over me and Sadie licking my face. Ok, they wanted something. I headed toward the kitchen to fill up the dogs water dish and couldn't believe the smell! Seriously I felt like gagging with every breath that I took in! So I quickly figured out that the smell was gas and it was coming from the Stove. I turned the burner off immediately and opened up every single window upstairs. I was so scared that my doggies were going to pass out and that we were going to die! Seriously, the smell was SO bad. So much for a carbonmonixide detector.......if that even works for gas.......I don't know science too well!

Anyways.........After the house being opened up and freezing I closed up the house but was afraid to go to sleep. I said to Luke, "I am scared to go to sleep, should I open a window in our bedroom?" He said, "No, it's ok if we don't wake up!" WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!! I said, Hello, No, it is NOT ok if we don't wake up! He made me SO mad. Obviously it is ok, but I have a lot of life I want to live before that happens!

So that is my story of how we almost died.......
